Internet is full of articles explaining reasons of change resistance. Various books are written on this topic. Change Manager’s Handbook extensively covers this topic is detail. However, what is the root cause of resistance to change? Why in context to organisational change, employees and managers prefers status quo instead embracing the change?
I have tried to understand this and various reasons allude to the one cause. That is, human mind’s fear and anxiety. That is why status quo is chosen to be safer option.
