Change Manager does not manage change!
Why do we assume that the Change Manager is responsible for managing the change? The Change Manager does not manage change!
There is no need to manage change in isolation. Instead, we need to influence people, so they adopt change. And, Change Managers does not magically influence all stakeholders to embrace change.
The fact is that change management is that join responsibility of the whole Project team. However, the ultimate accountability remains with the Project Sponsor. The Change Manager is there to consult, guide and put strategies for the Project team and leadership.
That is all!
The Project team and leadership group do the groundwork to facilitate change. However, a change Manager is merely a guide, so remember that a Change Manager does not manage change!
