Yes, communicating effectively is an art.
We must start with the basics, though. So, when the topic is difficult to understand, I use my teachers’ tools and methods.
I draw on the whiteboard, fire up a presentation, and use my body, tone, pace, and hand gestures. I reiterate, conclude, recap, and reinforce my message.
This additional effort has served me well.
Retrospectively, when communication was difficult, it may be because I hadn’t put in the effort it deserved.
