As a child, I learned from my environment, teachers, and parents. As I grew older, I sought counsel for guidance and support, knowing I didn’t have all the answers and needed help.
Upon reaching adulthood, I mistakenly believed I knew everything and began ignoring advice from those who cared. I argued with people more experienced and wiser than myself. Who knows what price I have paid for my ignorance and rigidity?
Now, I hope I have learned enough to start listening with an open mind.
