Little improvements are capable of making a big difference!
Little improvements are awesome. They are quick, relatively easy to implement, and do not cost much. Still, they have the potential to make a big difference.
For example, a firm handshake, eye contact, and smile help to develop a good rapport. So does mirroring body language, pace, tone, and words with our counterpart. Matching the dress code with our counterpart helps, too. While we do all this, we must learn to be genuine, real, and authentic. All of these are little improvements. However, they can make a big difference in rapport and relationship building.
In business, we have infinite opportunities to improve. All we need is discipline to identify opportunities and implement solutions on an ongoing basis.
Does that sound like a lot of work? Well, if something gives us positive returns on investment, why will we not continue it?
