Today, I have drawn a number line plotting the years left in this life (average life span). I marked out years after 80 when I would slow down. I put some future goals and aspirations on the number line—clearly, much work has to be done.
Yet, when left alone, my mind wanders in all directions, obsesses about little things, and focuses on short-term gains.
No wonder it took me quite a while to get here.
While life has no guarantees, I continue to create a supportive environment and discipline my mind to stay focused.
