We usually know little about the project when we initiate an enterprise-level digital initiative. It is the discipline of project management that helps the Project manager lead the project team and stakeholders through the unknown. For example, when we initiate ERP implementation, we may have little understanding of the project scope, budget, resources, and approach.
These projects are about navigating in the dark and collaborating to gain clarity and certainty. As Sponsors, it can be frustrating when the Project Manager is uncertain about the project completion date or budget. However, note that the whole Project team may be figuring this out. They may need more pressure, instead, they may need our support, so let’s be there for them!
