My ability to shout at others may be perceived as my strength. One may perceive me as a person of power. Quite possibly, it is my weakness. I may be shouting due to my impatience, lack of emotional intelligence, social awareness, and inability to communicate effectively.
Shouting has its place.
A coach may scream at an athlete to push him to the next level. A mother may shout at her kids to discipline them. A leader may shout at her followers to move them.
Being aware of whether we are shouting from our strengths or weaknesses is likely a good starting point.
