There are multiple success measures. For example, money, freedom to pursue hobbies, and global influence. Each of us may decide on a different success measure.
Further, there is no universally accepted definition of success. My definition of success could be a definition of failure for you.
The problem is that we often don’t think about and ask ourselves what we want. What should we give more? How can we help and add value to our stakeholders? Running blind, we chose the success matrix that everyone else is following. By default, such a matrix preaches to go big (more customers, revenue, products, leads). This is a dangerous way to spend our lives without much introspection.
