Walking the Talk is Difficult

Walk the talk is difficult!

As knowledge is becoming a commodity, talking is becoming easier. For instance, we can read a book, ask Chat GPT, undertake a course, and learn about leadership. Then, we may decide to talk about our newly acquired knowledge. For example, we may give lectures on delegation, listening, and time management. However, it is merely talking.

To learn, we must consistently practice the newly acquired knowledge until it becomes our habit. It takes time, dedication and patience. It is not about looking cool in front of our employees. Instead, it is about consistently trying, failing and learning. It is a painful yet fruitful process. However, it is not at all glamorous. So, most of us choose an easier way of talking about new knowledge.

Perhaps this is why walk the talk is difficult.
