We are Lazy by Design!

We are unlikely to bother if we know we can get away with it.

Whether they are traffic rules, safety equipment, or general cleanliness. We are lazy by design. We are likely to skip if we know we can get away with not doing something.

Knowing this dynamic, it is the role of the leader to set boundaries, rules, and consequences for non-conformance.

It is safe to assume that the Project team is unlikely to use common sense. It is a given that the Project team is following the path of least resistance. People will cross boundaries if the leader does not protect them.

So, as leaders, it is our responsibility to set and protect delivery standards. If we are not doing it, no one else will!
