Freedom is our ability to choose according to our values and beliefs. Children long to be free to play without limits. Adults dream of freedom from responsibilities. Employees seek freedom to express ideas and solve problems in their own way.
This pursuit of freedom gives rise to rebels, criminals, and intellectuals. It is the very force that gives us wings to rise to our full potential and live a remarkable life.
But freedom without grounding is dangerous. Left unchecked, it turns into chaos. When oppressors justify their “freedom” to dominate—whether in nations or families—the result is destruction. Absolute freedom is fire without control: it burns everything in its path.
That is why freedom must rest on grounding—grounding in human values, in the culture of equality and oneness, in spirituality that reveals life as a gift, and in relationships that inspire sacrifice for truth and love.
With grounding, freedom lifts us higher. Without it, freedom consumes us.
So ask yourself: in our families, organisations, and communities—are we nurturing grounding while fighting for freedom?
