When we struggle to keep up and push out of our comfort zone, we often use lower mental faculties. We may start behaving like children—becoming more irritable, talking more than we listen, arguing, comparing ourselves to others, and becoming emotionally reactive and touchy. Without much awareness, we create stress for ourselves and those around us. Often, we only realise these behaviours once the damage has been done. The key is practicing self-awareness and consciously observing our reactions, ensuring we don’t fall into these patterns. We can avoid behaving like children and remain more composed by catching ourselves early.
