Change management is like helping people cross a bridge—it’s not about dragging them across, but walking alongside them. To do that well, we must first understand exactly where they are—emotionally, in terms of knowledge, and in their level of motivation.

Once we understand their starting point, we can plan the journey together and support them along the way. But it’s important to remember: we’re not managing them—we’re facilitators. Our role is to make the crossing smoother, not to control it.

We must also stay humble. Don’t underestimate those going through the change, and don’t overestimate our own expertise. It’s about collaboration—finding better ways to cross the bridge, together. We don’t have all the answers, and neither did anyone else.
