Executives often assume that their position within the organisation automatically commands respect from others. You may observe that the people around you can pretend to be polite and demonstrate care. It may be because they want to protect their position within the organisation.
As you may know, genuine respect is earned. So, respect does not automatically come with your job title or position within the organisation. Instead, you must earn it by your actions. So, be intentional in doing the right things to command respect from the Project team.
