Controlling Vs Directing our mind!

Continuous Improvement

I am trying to control my mind to be more disciplined and limit distractions. So, I removed all social media apps from my phone. I committed to stop shopping online. It is working with limited success.

I am realising that my brain actively looks for distractions. Sometimes, to give a break from the task or deal with boredom due to routine tasks. So, the problem does not appear to be distractions. Instead, the problem is that I do not have a strategy to deal with distractions productively. If my brain wants to wander, I should feed an issue related to personal or business life. I may feed challenging but entertaining problems that support my growth.

Controlling and managing any resource is painful. However, directing a resource is effective.

This is my ongoing pursuit of managing resources effectively.
