Keeping stakeholders informed!

Business Improvement, Local Government

It’s reassuring to see lifts displaying floor numbers as they move, offering a sense of progress. Similarly, when waiting in a queue, knowing our position often brings comfort by setting clear expectations about the wait time. Large displays at train stations showing the time until the next train provide a sense of certainty. Tracking a courier and watching its journey from one location to another gives us confidence that our parcel is steadily making its way to us.

In none of these examples are we actually speeding up the process. The focus is instead on keeping stakeholders informed and engaged throughout the service delivery. This raises an important question: how effectively are we keeping our customers informed about the progress and delivery of services in our local governments?
