Leadership is about courage. It’s about standing up for your people in times of adversity. It’s about protecting the weak and the vulnerable, and offering them dignity and respect. True leadership means staying grounded and choosing to fight even when you’re exposed, uncertain, or in a weaker position. It means standing for what’s right—from wherever you are—and supporting your tribe, even when it challenges your personal preferences or opinions.
Leaders like this are rare.
Far more common are those who pretend to be brave—when they are safe, when they are seen, and when there’s something to gain. But that isn’t courage, and it certainly isn’t leadership. It’s calculated manipulation, dressed up to look noble, but serving only the self.
