As leaders, we tend to do too much! We tell the team what to do, how to work which each other, and things to avoid. It may be because we know too much while working in the organisation for a long time.
The Project team can be relatively new. But don’t forget that the team needs to experience a few things first-hand. Small failures are one of them. When teams are formed, they naturally go through the forming, storming, norming and performing cycle. Our unnecessary intervention can further prolong the cycle. So, give time and space to the team to figure out ways of working with each other.
Step back! Let the ship rock in turbulent waters, and the crew figure it out!
