There is a common misconception that managing change is the job of a Change Manager.

Change is constant. Slow or fast, there is a constant change within our environment. Our external influencers (economy, technology, competition, customer priorities), and internal influencers (staff, business priorities, goals) are constantly changing. As leaders, we must foresee the change and prepare the relevant stakeholders.

It is like an expert pilot or captain of the ship preparing passengers ahead of the rough weather. In business, we are on a constant journey. We must proactively look for leading indicators of change and prepare for it.

The leaders who have done it well, have made massive leaps and successful transformations. Many others have been wiped out due to relatively slow but constant change!
