I may claim my good deeds are for others, but often, they are for me. They are likely to keep me happy and fulfilled, boost my ego and pride, and make me a little happier after thinking about them.
While they may appear noble and service-oriented, they can often be driven by selfish reasons. If others benefit from them, consider that it’s merely a side effect.
