When a problem is consistently in front of us, we may want to roll our sleeves and resolve it. However, the problems that occasionally come and go tend to stay with us longer. Sometimes, we even give up and adapt to live with them.
The challenge is that we do not note the repetitive nature of the same problems. We think we are over the problem, and it comes back again with a slight twist. With limited time and resources, we get busy dealing with the problem reactively. The same old rinse-and-repeat method keeps us busy.
Like a to-do or wish list, we may need a problem list. As per the 80/20 rule, maybe 20 percent of our problems are causing us 80 percent of grief. May the key to freedom, liberation, and transformation be hidden within the problem list!
