When my problems overwhelm me and things are getting out of hand, frustration grows and negativity fills my brain. There’s a high chance that I’m self-obsessing, thinking about myself a little too much.
To improve my condition, all I need to do is look outside at the types of problems others are juggling with. I may start to embrace my current situation and find the courage to resolve the issues at hand.
It’s the reference point we pick that makes all the difference in our lives. Everything is relative and comparative. Our level of peace depends on the reference point we choose and what we compare ourselves against.
