Taking care of someone is our choice. It is not due to our capacity, skill or capability. Instead, it is due to the virtue of the management decision stipulating that – we care!
Customer service, employee care or supplier relationships does not happen by accident. Nor does it happen because it is cool stuff. Service is a choice and a huge commitment.
When the management has this commitment, the organisation finds ways to deliver it!
Merely stating that we are customer or employee-centric would not take us too far.
If we care, it must be reflected in our decisions and actions. Let us not be mistaken; it is hard work. So, we can only continue to develop solutions if we have a strong commitment and backing from the management team.
As a leader, do you care?
How are you communicating and backing your team to develop practical solutions to serve?
