Everything comes at a cost. We either pay it directly or indirectly—knowingly or unknowingly.
One of the greatest costs we often overlook is the cost of being good.
When you’re good at heart, you think of others before yourself.
You make sacrifices without keeping score.
You choose what’s right over what’s easy.
You give your time, your energy, your care—without expectation.
And often, you do all this simply because that’s who you are. It’s how you’re wired.
You may not even know how to be any other way.
But make no mistake—there is a price.
You are paying the cost of being good, in ways you may never fully see or understand.
This isn’t a call to stop being good.
It’s simply a reminder: don’t be naïve about it.
Know the cost. Honour it. And keep being who you are—with awareness, not blindness.
