We learn from our parents not so much what they preach but what they do.
If we really want to follow and learn from a leader we admire. Merely following their preaching is not sufficient. We must also thoroughly observe their lives in light of their teachings. For example, observing how they apply their life principles in real-life situations gives us a much deeper context.
Similarly, if we want to become leaders, we must also start by observing our lives. Mere preaching to others may only give us a temporary ego boost.
The essence of leadership is in action!
