I may choose to work hard and long hours to provide a comfortable life for my family—a life filled with luxury and prestige.
Or, I may choose to work just enough, so I can spend more time with my family and enjoy a life rich in joy, meaning, and presence—a life full of ecstasy and substance.
In the first path, I might end up complicating simple things. In the second, I may find myself simplifying what seems complex.
True courage and wisdom lie in keeping the end in mind, simplifying life, and engaging deeply in what truly matters.
