We often spend too much time planning, waiting, and hoping for others to give us permission to step up—to perform at the next level or pursue our next big idea. But the truth is, we may not need anyone’s permission.
If we’re trying something new, we shouldn’t expect it to be perfect. So why not take the simplest, most direct path instead of waiting for the ideal opportunity or someone to invite us onto the stage?
For example, if I want to write my first book, self-publishing is far easier than trying to convince a publisher to take a chance on me.
If I want to speak, I can organise my own training session and invite those who support me, instead of waiting to be given a platform.
This mindset applies across the board—to any performance, project, or personal evolution. With the limited time we have, it’s far better to take the leap, learn from the experience, and grow, rather than spend it knocking on doors, waiting for permission.
