One thing I constantly remind myself is that we are all different. Our differences come from our unique thinking patterns, backgrounds, and life experiences. When I feel frustrated because others don’t seem to understand me, I remind myself of this truth. When I find others smarter or quicker than me, I acknowledge that it’s natural — we all have different strengths. And when we can’t agree on a solution, I pause to reflect on the reasons why.
It is precisely these differences that have propelled us so far as a human community. Animals, by comparison, are more alike in their behaviours and instincts. Perhaps that’s why humanity has prospered and evolved — because our diversity drives creativity and progress.
All we need to do is keep reminding ourselves that we are all different, and that’s a good thing!
