We are far too insignificant!

Leadership

Life is not fair, and there’s no inherent logic within the randomness that surrounds us. Events unfold without necessarily having a reason, and nature neither works for us nor against us. When we place ourselves at the centre of the universe, we fall into the trap of believing we are on some grand mission. But the truth is, we are far too insignificant to matter to most—our inflated sense of self might just be the result of egoistic thinking.

Yet, this realisation need not be disheartening. By accepting the chaotic nature of existence, we can find liberating freedom. Instead of battling to control the uncontrollable or searching for meaning in every event, we might be better off loosening our grip and embracing life as it comes. Like children, we can approach each moment with curiosity, spontaneity, and a genuine eagerness to experience life. By recognising where we stand in the grand scheme, we can live more authentically—free from the weight of self-importance and open to whatever comes our way.

In this approach, we shift from an ego-driven purpose to a more grounded understanding of ourselves. Rather than striving for control or searching for cosmic validation, we can simply be, grasping each moment as it arrives, real and raw.
