When faced with difficult decisions!

Decision making

We make countless decisions every day, many without a second thought. However, some choices are irreversible or extremely hard to change. When we make poor decisions, the consequences can linger for a lifetime, bringing stress and sacrifices as we try to cope. Yet, we often make such decisions hastily, sometimes to please others or for superficial reasons.

Consider these examples: marriage, parenthood, emigration, buying a home, filing for bankruptcy, shutting down a business, choosing a specialised career path, undergoing major surgery, or making public statements. Each carries significant, long-term consequences.

When faced with difficult decisions, we must slow down and approach them thoughtfully. It’s often wiser for us to delay, take small steps, and make incremental choices while reassessing our assumptions. Careful consideration before big commitments can save us from regret and unnecessary hardship.
