When I put myself at the centre of the universe, then everyone must listen to me, adhere to my preferences, follow me, and understand my goals and aspirations.
When I put my organisation (higher goal) at the centre of the universe, I must listen intently to everyone and understand their preferences, goals, and aspirations. I must know what my organisation needs from the executive group and staff. I must go the extra mile to feel the pain points of my customers, suppliers, and employees.
We are in a very different game, depending on who we put at the centre of the universe!
