Distractions are not new. Though, they have multiplied in the last ten years.
In the last post, we cover how distractions relieve pain temporarily.
But, note that people use distractions to hide the pain points/risks from you. Distractions are widely used to camouflage pain points in various ways.
As a Project Sponsor, you must understand this. Ensure that your project team and stakeholders are not hiding valuable information by distracting you with shiny objects, confusing language or other tools.
When is the last time you noticed someone was distracting you with the objective to obscure important information?
Remember, there can be always someone hiding the pain by distracting you!
