During the steering co, it is so common to observe the top executive telling everyone what to do.
Elaborating on how smart I am and proving the incompetencies of the project team. Taking pride in what and how much I know, ignoring to leverage the value others in the room can offer.
Controlling the conversations rather than letting them flow naturally. Then, with pride, belittle everyone else in the room.
You know what I mean….
Steering Committee/Board meetings are not meant to show off your powers. As a sponsor, there is a lot for you to listen to first.
Please stop professional suicide in the boardroom! It does not serve anyone!
