How to silently kill new ideas?

Leadership

New ideas can be the game changer for any organisation. However, corporate machines silently kill new ideas every day!

New ideas generally come from new perspectives. The new perspectives are the byproduct of an outsider reviewing your business. The most common outsiders are new employees without experience within your industry.

But, what do we do with them?

We assume that they know nothing. So, we close our ears and start preaching what we have been doing for years. The new starters are sometimes too shy to ask questions and challenge the status quo. Other times, they are forced to follow the process. The exact process the previous generation has done.

Over time, they assimilate to the corporate culture, ways of thinking and lose their spark.

Here is a question: What is your plan of attack to stop the corporate machines from silently killing new ideas?
